Patrick Walsh (January 1, 1840 – March 19, 1899) was an American politician and journalist.

Walsh was born in Washington, D.C., in 1859, where he remained until the American Civil War.

In 1861, Walsh returned to Charleston, to fight for the United States Senate. He served as a Democratic senator, 2 April 1894 until 3 March 1895.

Walsh was later elected mayor
